Eyelid Surgery (7 Photos)

One of the oldest plastic surgery procedures and one of the most common areas for facial rejuvenation surgery is the eyes. It can be done for cosmetic, medical, and reconstructive reasons. Both the upper and lower eyelids can be operated on, but in some instances only one eyelid, only the upper eyelids, or only the lower eyelids may be treated.

Blepharoplasty - Case #053039 This gentleman sought the help of Dr. Lomax when, due to excessive upper eyelid tissue, his visual obstruction began to affect his ability to safely drive a vehicle. His deficit was corrected with both an upper blepharoplasty and, at the request of the patient, a direct brow lift. He was very happy with both the aesthetic outcome and improvement of his peripheral vision.

Blepharoplasty - Case #126269 End of the day eye fatigue was the main complaint of this patient. She was also unhappy that often others would tell her she looked “tired” when she did not feel that way. On exam, she was found to have excessive upper eyelid tissue which caused hooding of her eyelids. After upper blepharoplasty surgery, her eyes are no longer in “shadow” and she is very happy that she looks more bright eyed and feels more rested.

Blepharoplasty - Case #139187 This patient scheduled a consultation with Dr. Lomax because she felt her upper eyelids were beginning to sag and affect her vision. The excess eyelid tissue gave her a “hooded” eyelid which was greatly improved when bilateral upper blepharoplasty surgery was performed by Dr. Lomax. She was very pleased with the results. After surgery her vision improved and she looked and felt more awake and alert.
