The goal of nose surgery, or rhinoplasty, is to change the external features of a patient’s nose to harmonize with the rest of the face. The new shape is achieved by modifying or shaving down bone and cartilage. Rhinoplasty can shorten or lengthen the nose, change its contour, the tip and the nostrils.
